In the metallurgical and steel sector, iron ore sampling and sample preparation systems generally include two types: combined systems for steel plant receiving and customs commodity inspection, and systems for in‑plant engineering sample preparation. Both types can integrate robotic manipulators with sample preparation equipment, enabling the entire sample preparation process to be fully automated, environmentally friendly, and unattended.

     The combined steel plant receiving and customs commodity inspection sampling and sample preparation system can automatically sample raw materials unloaded from ships and received at the plant, conduct particle size analysis, moisture determination, and chemical sample preparation, and prepare and collect samples for metallurgical physical performance indicators. It enables quality inspection of incoming raw materials and fuels such as iron ore and coal, satisfying both the customs commodity inspection requirements for sampling and sample preparation of imported raw materials and fuels, and the steel plant's production needs for process data (physical and chemical properties of ore).
