The sinter (pellet) sampling and sample preparation system, by integrating a robotic manipulator with the equipment, can perform automatic sampling of finished ore, particle size analysis, tumbler index determination, compressive strength testing of pellets, preparation of reduction samples (10–12.5 mm), and preparation of chemical samples (ground to 120 mesh). It can also automatically transport samples pneumatically to the laboratory, automatically press pellets, and carry out automatic X-ray fluorescence analysis and automatic FeO detection. The system integrates sampling, sample preparation, analysis, and reject disposal into one unit, achieving fully automated, environmentally friendly, and unattended operation throughout the entire process.
