Recently, the newly added automatic ore sample preparation system developed and constructed by Doshine Measurement and Control for Hunan Valin Xiangtan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. has successfully completed all production assembly, complete system commissioning, and factory inspection. The equipment has been officially shipped and will soon arrive at the Xiangtan Steel site for installation and commissioning work.
As a key domestic steel enterprise, Hunan Valin Xiangtan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. imposes stringent standards on the quality inspection of iron ore raw materials—particularly in terms of sample preparation accuracy, operational efficiency, and on‑site environmental control. To align with Xiangtan Steel's actual production conditions and address the pain points of traditional manual sample preparation—such as low efficiency, significant errors, and excessive dust emissions—Doshine Measurement and Control has specifically optimized the equipment structure and operational processes, enhancing both adaptability and stability, so as to comprehensively meet the plant's daily production and environmental management requirements.
The complete system delivered in this project is equipped with four core functional units—fully automatic moisture determination, particle size analysis, compositional sample preparation, and reject handling—covering the entire iron ore sample preparation process. The system autonomously performs incoming material information identification, dividing, crushing, grinding, automatic moisture determination, and particle size analysis, while also supporting integrated operations such as automatic sample packaging, coding and archiving, automatic data uploading, material reject recovery, and full‑process dust control.
Compared with traditional manual sample preparation and outdated equipment, this system, once deployed, enables fully automated, unattended operation across the entire workflow, completely replacing the conventional manual sample preparation model. It effectively eliminates deviations caused by human intervention, significantly improving the standardization of ore sample preparation and the authenticity and accuracy of test data. At the same time, the equipment operates in a fully enclosed manner, equipped with a comprehensive dust collection system that controls dust pollution at the source. Rejected materials are centrally recovered and disposed of, which not only improves the on‑site working environment but also fully meets the environmental management standards required for green steel production.
In the next phase, the Doshine Measurement and Control project team will efficiently advance a series of tasks including equipment delivery to site, installation, commissioning, and acceptance, ensuring that the equipment is quickly put into operation and runs stably.
